Wegovy 2.4 mg injection pen

What Wegovy is

Prescription only

Wegovy is semaglutide, a once-weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist. It slows gastric emptying and acts on appetite signalling, which is why patients describe feeling full earlier rather than feeling forced to eat less.

Dosing runs in five steps from 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg, each held for four weeks before the next. The first two steps exist to build tolerance, not to produce weight change.

Frequently asked

How much is Wegovy in Korea?

A four-week supply ranges from ₩550,000 at 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg to ₩710,000 at 2.4 mg, tax included. A first consultation is ₩50,000, applied toward treatment on the same day. These are the same figures quoted to Korean patients.

Can foreigners get Wegovy in Korea?

Yes, after an in-person examination. Registration takes a passport, and Korean national health insurance is not required. Without it you pay the published private rate.

Is Wegovy the same as Ozempic?

Both are semaglutide. Ozempic is licensed for type 2 diabetes and Wegovy for weight management, at higher doses. The clinic prescribes according to the indication, not on request.

Why start at 0.25 mg?

0.25 mg is a tolerance step. It is not expected to produce meaningful weight change on its own, and skipping it markedly increases nausea at the next step.

Can I continue the dose I take at home?

Usually yes. Bring your pharmacy label or prescription and your current dose. Continuing is safer than restarting, but the decision is made at consultation.

How does it compare with Mounjaro?

Wegovy acts on GLP-1 alone; Mounjaro acts on GIP and GLP-1. Which suits you depends on your history, tolerance, and what you have already tried. Both are stocked here.

What about the Wegovy pill?

The oral form is not part of this clinic's current supply. Only the weekly injection is prescribed here.
