Tirzepatide, dose by dose
Mounjaro is the tirzepatide brand supplied in Korea. Zepbound is the brand licensed for weight management in the United States. The molecule is the same.

When Korea is worth it, and when it is not
Korea makes sense if
- You cannot use a manufacturer self-pay programme, as these generally require a domestic prescription and residency
- Your country has limited supply, long waits, or strict eligibility criteria
- You are travelling to Korea anyway for work, family, or tourism
- You want an examination, body composition analysis, and bloodwork in a single visit
Korea is probably not worth it if
- You live in the United States, are on a higher dose, and qualify for the self-pay programmes, where the US figure is lower before you add a flight
- You need continuous resupply and have no plan to return
- You want the lowest price alone and do not need an examination

Are prices different for international patients?
No. These are the same figures used for Korean patients. There is no agency commission and no international-patient surcharge.
Why is Korea more expensive than the United States at higher doses?
American manufacturers cut their self-pay programme prices sharply in 2026, to $349 a month for Wegovy and $299 to $449 for Zepbound. Korean pricing is per pen strength and rises with the dose, so at higher doses the American self-pay figure is now lower. Against American list prices, which run to roughly $1,349 a month for Wegovy, Korea remains far cheaper.
Can I use my insurance?
Korean national health insurance does not cover weight management medication, and foreign insurance is not billed directly. An itemised English receipt is issued so you can claim with your own insurer if your policy covers overseas outpatient care.

Korean prices are set by the clinic and dated on every table. American self-pay figures are re-checked when the manufacturers change them, which in 2026 has been often. The check date is printed on this page.
